A new beta version (beta-2) of the upcoming 3.41 release is now available.

Some fixes, including the infamous 3.41-beta-1 proxy bug (the proxy mode was
not working at all)

Don't hesitate to upgrade, especially if you are experiencing troubles with
the current 3.40 series (such as memory consumption)
