the problem just got solved.

win xp security stopped this search
 function with following message: contains active .... 

so i had to allow this active ..... to be shown and the search function is now
working also on hdd.

how surprisingliy easy, only 2 clicks away from enlightenment.

sorry for the trouble, here my excuse:
only for this httrack project i changed to xp, otherwise
i work with suse 10.0. so my xp from xp is very little.

anyhow, would be nice if more problems could dissolve like this.
