| Hello, first thank you for such a great and effective downloading program with
many features and a nice helpfull website.
I've been looking at the forum for the last 3 days after frustrating tests
and trials and variations to make winhttrack work well. I made a local site
<http://localhost/testwinttrack> IIS5.1 and put files in it and tried to
download them. it downloads fine then i stop the iis server for testing. it
makes tmp files fine. then i resume iis and continue interrupted download
(don't purge deleted files selected). it downloads fine. i stop iis after few
files downloaded. ok. i have some files and some half files. ok i resume iis
and resume interrupted download, then winhttrack starts downloading the files
again that were completed. as if it has no idea that the files are completed
and running perfectly it has to download them again. i've been trying this
with all options including store all in cache, don't redownload deleted,
changed browser id, force old http..
nothing works! arrr @#$@#$ . why it cann't understand the the file exists and
i don't want it to overwrite it? the files all are good and never changed and
it downloads them again. what if the site is gigabytes in size and i have a
slow internet? it might take several days to download, what if it gets
interrupted? it will want to redownload the whole thing?
isn't there a way to tell the program "please don't redownload files that you
have finished downloading last time?" bandwidth is costly and time consuming,
redownloading gigs is not a piece of cake.
