First upgrade to the latest release (3.15-2), the 2.01 
release is REALLY an old one:

Then, Expert options should never be used ; please use 
filters instead. If you get files in upper dir, this 
is generally because default filters (something like 
+*.gif +*.jpg ..) accepted them. Erase them, it will 
generally do the trick.
