Hi all;
I first posted about this problem 2 years ago, when Httrack began locking up
my computers cpu when I started the httrack program, on the first file
download.
I have not been able to use the software ever since then. Before that day, I
used it for about 2 years.
It is now 16/8/2007 and a couple of versions of Httrack later, and Httrack
still locks up my cpu of my computer whenever I begin mirroring a website. (my
original post was Dated: 30/10/2005 00:31)
I would just delete httrack from my program files and forget it, except I used
it successfully for 2 or 3 years on this same computer. It done very well for
me.
But one day I tried to mirror a site, and it began locking up my cpu cycles on
the computer. After that, it locked the computer up ever time I tried to use
Httrack.
I have observed that This lock-up occurs in Httrack program AT THE POINT THAT
HTTRACK BEGINS TO WRITE THE FIRST FILE TO THE COMPUTER DISK.
Here is the log file from version Httrack v3.41.3: the last site I tried to
mirror:

XAVIER:
By "base path" I am assuming you mean the file directory path on my computer
where Httrack is to write to. ..... If so, the base path write directory does
NOT contain any commas.
Also; what do you mean by "did I change the base path" ???? I have the files
written to wherever I choose, by selecting a directory path to write to; via
the Httrack gui.
.......... you wrote this earlier:
