| | Ok, this was my fault.
The problem for the missing "Umlaute" was not httrack but my apache
configuration. I had not set the default codepage in apache.
For anyone who has the same problem:
In apache2.conf there must be the line
AddDefaultCodepage ISO-8859-1.
