Many thanks - I found the exe for version 3.33 on your site and downloaded and
installed it over the top of the newer version. It kept all my defaults for
scan options (lovely) and just tried it on the same site and it is downloading
and saving first time with the nice short filenames.

Your program is really clever and better than most of the rest I tried as it
seems to intellegently work out the file type and use that even if the
original site is some complex portal whereby the original links are actually
to cgi type scripts and not simple files.
