As we know, it tries to download all the files previously downloaded again.

Does anyone know:

(a) a previous version that didn't have this bug AND where to get it AND if it
is possible to uninstall a new version and continue an interrrupted download
using an older version.

OR 

(b) If anyone is actively looking into this at all (it wasn't addressed in the
last version).
