Hang on, I've just realised that if each page is taking about 15 minutes to
parse and each one is producing about 2 or 3 new links, then the downloading
is not "all but finished" -- HTTrack is still finding new pages faster than
it's processing them. I'm going to abort the operation -- maybe this was too
big a task.

Any tips for next time?
