Kind of helped perfectly. 
On OpenSues 10.3 I had to do the symbolic link in the opposite direction.

ln -s /usr/local/lib/libhttrack.so.2 /usr/lib/libhttrack.so.2

I supose the joy of Windoze is there is only one way to f&ck things up. :-)
