| Hello all,
Am new to HTTrack -- but it is great!
However, when I try to copy the downloaded website from one folder to another
on my computer, I get an error message pop up window that says: Cannot remove
folder 487F0706DD2929C0: The filename or extension is too long. (Some sites
copy just fine.....)
((Have similar problems or other errors when trying copying to CD (can't copy
the file, Retry, Skip -- and if try 'Skip' the rest of the folder isn't
copied.....))
A friend suggesting changing the build to use the ISO standards & I tried
rerunning the download with that build option, but seems to have the same
problem? (I didn't delete everything & start over, but just did the update?)
Now thought would try it again with the MS Dos option for build and the ISO
options both checked/ticked???
I need to distribute the results via CD as we are in Ethiopia & Internet
access is either non-existent to slow in many part of the country and we are
sending the information to Universities!
I did try searching the Archives, but couldn't find an answer.
And our Internet access is very slow -- so my trial & error efforts are so
slow -- really need to leave running overnight......
ps I did learn this from searching the Archives... "I always suggest you
select options -> build -> no error pages/no external pages so any links not
mirrored will not try to go to the net."
Thank you for your help,
Deb in Ethiopia
