I had the same problem, then I found that the shortcuts
gnome-www-browser and x-www-browser in /usr/bin are broken.
After deleting their entries in /usr/bin/webhttrack from
SRCHBROWSEREXE="x-www-browser www-browser iceape mozilla firefox firebird
galeon konqueror opera netscape" it worked again.
