I forgot to add that I first saw this ability to 
separately specify "external link depth" vs. "internal 
link depth" in the program NetAttache Pro v2.x

I don't believe that program is available anymore, and 
even if it was, it has some limitations that HTTrack 
doesn't have.

So basically I'm looking for a way to specify 
the 'external link depth' (external link levels).  
Currently you can only specify a general link depth 
parameter, while I'd like to leave the 'internal link 
depth' at unlimited, but externally set the depth to 1 
or 2.
