Hard to believe that the "Cancel" feature has been so problematic to fix.

As a workaround, while the mirror is running, look at the actual time is has
been running.  Click (WinHTTrack) Mirror -> Modify Options -> Limits tab and
put a value in the "Max Time Overall" field that is slightly more than the
actual time.
