| Oh sh..! My apologies, again. Can I blame the strong medication I am taking for
back pain?
The url of the site I am trying to download is members.cox.net/2dellis/sylvia
The first link on the front page is "Read the ongoing adventures of SYLVIA"
Clicking the "SYLVIA" link takes you to a page headed "Sylvia Index" with a
list of 1179 links.
When I download the site and run it locally, clicking any of those 1179 links
brings up a page with two "File Not Found" errors, one example being:
######################################################
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at
/C:/Zip/sylvia/sylvia/members.cox.net/2dellis/sylvia/sylvia_header.html.
Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

File not found
Firefox can't find the file at
/C:/Zip/sylvia/sylvia/members.cox.net/2dellis/sylvia/sylvia_13.html.
Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

There are no errors in the log file.
I should point out that even though I looked at what was downloaded, my
knowledge of html runs between little and none. I am a retired welder and and
knowing about things like this wasn't in my job description. ;)
So my question is, how can I download the site so that it works as it works
online?
Thanks for persevering with me. | |
