I'm sensing a lot of hostility from you... sorry if I somehow offended you,
that was not my intention.

>You didn't bother to post the command line used

The message I got from httrack didn't say I had to, so I was unaware that it
was needed. The message simply said to post the crash.txt file to the forum. I
am sorry. Here is line 2 from the log file;

"(winhttrack -qiC2%Ps0u1%s%uN0%I0p3DaK0H0%kf2A90000%f#f -F "Mozilla/5.0

>Did you verify the output directory YOU specified actually exists and user
account has access?
Yes. Httrack started fine, downloaded most of the site okay for several days,
then crashed. The directories exist and httrack is run as administrator on a
dedicated Windows XP install with nothing but httrack running on it.

Thanks for taking the time to read, sorry if I've not been as clear as I
should have been. I'm very new to reporting things to forums so I am unaware
of all the etiquette. Again, sorry if I offended you.
