ok, 

1 and a half hours into a site mirroring and everything seems to be working.
For those who may need help this is what i did....

I followed William Roeder's advice as best i could, but had to make a few
adjustments that i simply guessed at. Yes, those filters are HARD.

I used the URL capture guide so that my login details could be stored ( easily
found if you search )

i set the filters at

-*
-(logout page - found by rightclicking and copying shortcut over 'logout'
link)
+(name of page i wanted to search for)
+(name of another page i wanted to search for)

i also..

+(name of main page - index)

it did not work until i added the main page url. don't know why, it just came
back as site not existing. so i guessed  :)

i also set the search to no robots

i'm on 1000+ good links up to now, so thankyou very much Mr Roeder
