The default settings will do well for most websites.
For my old site with dynamic content (forum) i disabled as much as possible
options ON MY SITE which created a lot of unnecessary links e.g. pdf page
generators, statistics, who is online etc. My SQLdatabase was ~40MB, the final
HTTRack archive was about 400MB. It took about 1 hour to download (increased
the default speed to ~40kb/s.
