using v3.45-4 running from Windows 7 command line.  I cannot make the display
%v "friendly".  The status updates scroll up the window rather than
overwriting the previous line.  

I have tried installing "ansicon" but it has no effect the window looks the
same regardless.   

The displayed lines all start with <- (as a single character believe this is
the cmd window representation of the "escape" character)The second character
is a "["  So it appears to me as an inability of Win7 not a problem with
httrack.  

Has anyone else seen and solved the problem?thanks,
