It does this already. Update is very fast (about 2-3 files per second depending
on the round trip time to the server) and independent on the size of the
files.

Umm, no it doesn't (or, it's not obvious how to make it do that).  Perhaps
you're not reading the forums, this is the third time this issue has come up
in the last couple of days.
