| As you may know, Facebook has provided no way as of yet to save your email
offline, or the contact info your friends have made available to you.
WebHTTrack should be able to manage this, but the first problem simply is
logging in. On Facebook, you have to use the URL below, the
<http://username:password@www> method will not work. Can Track be used to
open
a popup where you login, then the capture takes over from
there?http://www.facebook.com/login.php
The next step would be choosing sites to backup in sets of 50 contacts each,
such as:
<http://www.facebook.com/friends/?ref=tn#/friends/?filter=afp&ref=tn>
<http://www.facebook.com/friends/?ref=tn#/friends/?filter=afp&offset=50>
Last, the most important part is to isolate each INFO tab without spidering
further. The * in the URL below wildcards for each friend match.
-*
+*.png +*.gif +*.jpg +*.css +*.js
+http://www.facebook.com/friends/?filter=afp&ref=tn#/*?v=info&viewas=757166411
Using the CLI rather than Web HTTrack may be required to solve this. I'm not
familiar with all login authorization methods, but am hoping maybe a manual
login would result in a cookie that Track could use. | |
