Hi,

I want to copy a website to investigate it's make-up and from that reverse
engineer it into my own website.
When I copy a website using HTTrack website copier and save the files to my
hard disk. Is the owner of the website able to see or become aware of the fact
that his/her website has been copied even though I haven't put anything online
yet?
It's a semi professional website without much protection I suspect, but I'm
not very skilled and knowledgeable in this field. 

I'm just wondering if he or her in any way can detect that the website has
been copied, even though the files are only copied to my hard disk, and
haven't been put online.
