What is the difference between the scan rules

Site.com/Folder*
Site.com/Folder/*
Site.com/Folder*/*
Site.com/Folder/*/*

One of the sites I had trouble with "Site.com/Folder/*" didn't work but
"Site.com/Folder/*/*" did.

I didn't come up with /*/*, I read it somewhere, yet it not in the
documentation.
