I am afraid you misunderstood my idea !
IMHO adding a screenshot at the same time as the httrack's fine current way
could be useful in the future.
I save many webpages daily since about 20 years. And only since few years
beside saving the html files I am also saving screenshots of the webpages. And
yes this has been helpful to me. Will I be sure to open everything that I have
saved in X years ? I hope so but who really knows ?
