You might try an older verison of Httrack (I think you can 
find it on the downloads page somewhere)...maybe it'll 
work in there.  Still, I've downloaded dozens of sites, 
and only one relatively recently had a similar problem 
(search the forums for 'epanorama') which was fixed by a 
Httrack update.
