Thanks for your quick reply. This program is by far the
easiest and best of its type that I've used. The settings
are intuitive and you can get what you need by leaving
most options at their defaults.
I didn't mention the Expert option I had set: Travel mode
[Can both go up & down]. I expected to get about
119,157,841 bytes in 8,334 files. The 3.23-beta Windows
version demonstrates the same problem after about 105MiB
and 7919 files saved. It created the subdir [a_doc_lib_]
after almost completely saving the web site to the subdir
[a_doc_lib] .
It might related to the Unix directory foo/ being
equivalent to foo// but WinHTTrack seeing them as two
distinct dirs and appending the _ (underline).
