While it sounds obvious, what do the numbers next to "Links 
scanned:" stand for?
The example I'm currently looking at shows:

Links scanned:   5569/40309 (+1026)

I would assume that 5569 is the number of links processed 
so far, and 40309 is the total number of links found, so 
what is the +1026?  

Also, my "Files written" stat shows 6843.  How can this 
number be bigger than the 5569 from above?
