| ...for us but we are unable to ascertain why. Does anyone
have any ideas please?
It is a password protected site we are trying to download.
We open the site, enter our userid and password. Then open
HHTrack which has our userid and password entered also.
The download appears to progress normally, an error log is
created which gives no obvious clue as to why the pdf
files are not captured corrected.
When we attempt to open a pdf from the copied site offline
this message comes up File does not begin with '%PDF-' If
we locate the file in the 'tree', or if we find it through
a search on the computer, and open it from either of those
two places this message comes up...
Acrobat Reader. Acrobat could not
open 'raz_a_letteri_book.pdf' because it is either not a
supported file type or because the file has been corrupted
(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and
wasn't correctly decoded).
We have tried every suggestion that has ever been made
including uninstalling Acrobat reader, clearing the cache
and temporary internet files, restarting the computer,
reinstalling Acrobat Reader, Uninstalling HTTTrack,
deleting all files, clearing the cache, starting all over
from scratch repeatedly (in excess of 20 times in the last
month) Increasing the active connections, decreasing the
active connections, removing robots.txt, altering download
speed, selecting 'debug' and many more things that I can't
think of right now and still we are unable to get HTTrack
to capture pdfs so we are able to open them.
Help would be appreciate :o)
