Problem spotted - the option tag is parsed by httrack
<option value="zh/index.php">Chinese (Simplified)</option>

.. and httrack should not parse this tag. (added on the 
TODO list)

If you can find the "looping" page, it might be interesting 
to investigate.

By the way, using filters (Set Options / Scan Rules) you 
can probably easily filter out the offending URLs.
