The slowness is due to the link structure: all links are 
extensionless (such as www.example.com/foo) and httrack 
needs to check the type, causing supplemental requests.

Set the number of connection to 2 (and limit the bandwidth 
if necessary), allowing to make more efficient tests.

But this will remain a bit slow anyway.
