Please look at the "Transfer rate:" line in 
the "Information" pannel and check the leading number.

Example:

Bytes saved: 4.44MiB
Time: 2min36s
Transfer rate: 24.12KiB/s (22.45KiB/s)
Active connections: 4

In this example, the interesting information is "24.12KiB/s"

What do you see when the download seems "frozen" ?
