"imacat" has a problem that will occur no matter what tool is used to impact
his services. This is the same type of argument used when product vendors are
sued by victims of crime committed with their particular product. It would be
akin to suing the car manufacturer or drink maker when someone dies at the
hand of a drunk driver. It's the *driver* that made the wrong decision. So, do
you penalize all users because of a few bad users?
That said, quit whining to the tool maker and protect yourself. Analyze the
actual problem (your apps and/or network cannot sustain load) and utilize
common techniques such as: caching, bandwidth throttling, code refactoring,
and database DEnormalization to reduce load on your FREE database software. | |
