Sounds nice ( and complicated )...
I am attempting something much easier...
Save the file with th query string somewhere...either in the filename or the
cache.  Have apache or IIS sever up the pages with some sort of rewrite script
that will accept the query string, maybe look it up in the cache and server
the static html with the unique name...essatial creating a offline version of
a dynamic site.

I am sure sombody has done this already..saving me a week...:)
