hello, 
as an "home suse user" i could not find a rpm for suse 10.0
(httrack-3.40-2.tar.gz).
so to get the newest version, i started kompiling , with doubts in my mind,
because of lack of knowledge in this field.

1-- i used the read me : /configure   make  make install

2-- after that i could not find the programm, even typing on       
    console the command -- httrack or webhttrack -- reply 
    command unknown

3-- i compiled again changing to root for make install

4-- got this error message:

5-- cannot find -lhttrack ??? i thought the tar.gz is
    komplete

6-- will the system be harmed, if i give more trials        
    compiling the programm until errorless -- make install ?
hope you don`t mind a last question: 
in case, i don`t get the new version compiled,
can i use the old suse rpm 3.33.. ???can a not finished compiled version live
together on the same pc with an older rpm version in harmony.
