Its unfortunate there is not a way to keep the original files original.

As Warren pointed out in the original thread.....

Similarly, many text files lack any file extension at all, and HTTrack is
saving them with "html.html", as in "schematic" becomes "schematichtml.html."
No, that's not a typo on my part

Thus it doesn't just add a html extension to extensionless files it in fact
adds html.html to them.  Seems to be a bug in there somewhere.

Would be a nice feature in a future version to perhaps have an option to leave
filenames as is.
