Does HTTrack not support gzip Content-Encoding!?  That seems to be the issue. 
Though it's not so easy nowadays to find websites that don't gzip their html,
every one that I've tried works perfect with HTTrack.  All gzip sites fail
miserably right away saying "Open error when decompressing."

I have to imagine I'm just missing some kind of setting... otherwise HTTrack
is pretty much useless.  Is there a commercial equivalent of HTTrack?  Or
another tool like HTTrack?
