You ran with:
-qir2%e0C2%Ps0u0%s%uN0%I0p3DaK0H0%kf2%c10%f0#f -F "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible;
MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; InfoPath.1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)"
-%F  ...

I had no problem with:
-qwr3%e0C2%PnxX0s0u1Z%s%uN5%I0p3DaK0c9T60J99R9H3%kf2o0A97280%c5%f#f -F
"Mozilla/4.5 (compatible; HTTrack 3.0x; Windows 98)" -%F ...

You said -u0:
u   check document type if unknown (cgi,asp..) (u0 don't check, * u1 check but
/, u2 check always)

Therefor www.appletree.com/people/q MUST be a html and not a gzip and you get
"looks like binary."
