I completely agree, it was rude AND ignorant since what he recommend is
obviously wrong.

I just found this by chance, and i'm glad i found it.

Was going crazy trying to figure out why HTTrack by default downloaded all
external mirrors.

I noticed i could set an ugly setting too, that helps block external domains:
Settings -> Limits -> Maximum external depth: 99
