I thought you wished the links with the page title IN THE PAGE in which you
started the download (depth = 1), instead it seems now that you want only this
modification for the index html file (the file generated by httrack). I don't
know why you want this: if it seems having sense for better readability in the
page containing the links, it seems senseless for readability in the index
file.

I can't imagine how you can automate the replacing procedure with Excel, but I
think that with my method - if the links are all on the same server of the
index page containing them - you should succeed your aim, and in an automatic
way, a fact that seems fundamental if you have many and many links..

I don't think this feature will be implemented, because httrack aim is to
reproduce the web contents as you see online in your canonical browser (i.e.
with their original design).

Can you precisely give me the references of what you're trying to do? That is,
the starting url where the links lie.
