Well, unless the site has indexes that point to each record on their databases
(rather than only providing a search box) you will not be able to download
everything -- only the canned searches as you said.
This is a general problem with search-based sites which HTTrack can't do much
with, as opposed to browse-based sites which can usually be downloaded in its
entirety.
