| Good morning, William,
I just want to give you some details about my problem :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You said :
"I ran <http://leodamgan.spaces.live.com/> for 4 minutes with no problems,
14MB
------------------->
I also recently got sometimes good résults during my tests but only for the
3 or 4 first minutes when I run Httrack: for instance 12 Mib saved during this
time.
And the begining of the log (about 25 messages) is good also : "info...
Transfer status : link added....".
It is after a few minutes that copying become so slow while the log is full
of this messages : "Info: engine: warning: serialize error for
leodamgan.spaces.live.com/mmm200.... ( file does not exists)." which are
written at a rythm of about 100 or 150 per second".
(I succeeded in opening the log : the end of the file is not different of the
rest of it : nothing else that this message above...).

I don't know why you wouldn't want to mirror the unmodified site.

Looks like the proxy is totally confusing httrack.
-------------------> I tried yersterday with and without proxy activated. I
got exactly the same results in each case.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I noticed also that after the first 3 or 4 minutes of his running, HTtrack
spent very long times at scanning files after receiving them. This scanning
uses about 80% CPU. I can say that he spends much more time at scanning
(during which all seems almost frozen) that at receiving files (transfers are
very quick).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, I don't understand what's going wrong. My 1,2 Megabit ADSL is usualy OK. I
don't know what to try now in order to solve my problem.
I'm sorry for annoying you so much. I know it's very difficult to help
somebody at this distance,
Thank you very much,
Monique
