Hello,
i had the same problem when i linked htsserver. During 
linking the library libhttrack.so from /usr/local/lib (an 
older Version) was used instead of libhttrack.so from .libs 
.

After deleting the older libhttrack.so everything worked 
fine.

I think the Makefile is not OK (first look into .libs !) ??
