Been away, thanks for the reply. 

I may not have been explaining clearly. Actually in the case
in point (mirroring a single web page, yes a little goofy
when "save page as" works, but I wanted to keep everything
under one roof) neither index is created. It's not added in
/My Web Pages/ index list or indexed in the top subfolder
for the mirrored site. Both of these work fine as long as
the mirror has more than one page being saved.
