Perhaps I misunderstood your question, but I was trying to eliminate everything
after "?" from the links on the website that I mirrored.  It seems to work on
the Windows GUI by going to "Set Options | Build" and checking the "Hide query
strings" box.  I believe that both the links in the web pages AND the file
names have everything after (and including) "?" removed.
