Don't kill it. pause it and resume later. Hibernate the PC if you must but
don't shut down.

Once you interrupt it (3.4x) anything not yet processed has been lost from the
cache and will be re-downloaded.

Sorry Xavier, this was reported in one of the first 3.4x and has been broken
ever since.
