To whom it may concern

I have searched hi and low on methods to copy a forum or bulletin board as
they used to be called.

I dont seem to have much luck as I only get the 1st or second level of the
forum or just the 1st page in. So a failure to copy.

I have come here to raise some hell. as I am very disappointed in the brain
sharing going on here. or lack there of....

The "way back machine" does not backup forums....forums do not get
cached....If a forum folds up then thats it its gone forever....We have the
technology to save this information...just a lack of caring.

Amazon.com is very interesting to me....not because of what they sell but
because of the comments...good or bad its all there to read....In fact Amazon
may outstrip Wikipedia one day as the true source of honest discourse...."all
this was written by you, i`m in your head talking to you right now and using
your own voice to do it"

....I`m not trying to copy amazon.com but I`m making a point, Text is worth
saving. I think in the end it will be the most important part of the web worth
saving......It takes up little space, conveys huge amount of information and
may be some peoples only tangible contribution to society.....


So get off your ass and stop posting that copying forums is hard to do or
there is too many variables. Start at the beginning and explain it to me in
baby talk and lets start saving some of the most interesting information on
the web
